Welcome! I am an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University. I finished my Ph.D. in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rochester in 2011. My main research and teaching interests focus on the comparative politics of developing countries. I am especially interested in topics related to democratization and democratic consolidation, economic development, income distribution and African politics. I am also interested in political methodology and formal theory.
